As much as I love Peer Pressure (the smoking the drinking the low school grades) and Hit it From the Back is Ras Kass’ favorite song of all time, I can’t pretend those songs rival Bonita Applebum or Can I Kick It (y’all must have heard that Tribe Called Quest shyt).

If anything I would say 90s babies would be familiar with the singles and have no sense of which song was from which album (which I guess is why it would be a tough question).
They don’t but this is the thing people think those songs are on Low End Theory. Lol. A lot of people think that. I’m talking about historians and rappers. I learned that during numerous episodes of Juan Epstein during Tribe discussions with people. Plus, If you remember Q-Tip wrote all the rhymes for that album, Phife was barely on the album, only on a couple songs. shyt Phife wasn’t even a member of Tribe during the first album technically.

Good stuff. All those questions were easy though, except for the Tribe one.

Surprised she got the 98 album and Busta question wrong. Especially DMX, that was so easy. And with Busta, Belly hadn't come out until next year. There's no way that could have been it.

That was cool though

damn, them questions was easy
i can see why she got them 2 answers wrong
was surprised the got the tribe question right
that was the "hardest" question

You can tell she’s a good test taker. Cuz she saw the most unusual answer and said “why would they include that option if it wasn’t the right answer”. That usually works...
How bruh? U dont remember the video? That was a big deal back then.
I think most people don’t really remember the big dancing scene in Coming To America. I’ve seen that movie 1000 times but only seen the very beginning a couple times

I caught that too. A fair amount of her right answers were guesses where she used logical reasoning.
She might have got 8 right, but she really only knew like 4-5 tops :prodigylol:

I could see it tho because just like with Mobb Deep, a lot of people think The Infamous is their debut album, people think the same thing with Low End Theory and Tribe. Even though People’s Instinctive Travels got 5 mics, Low End Theory is the one that really blew them up and people remember.
Only thing I remember from that mobb deep era was hit it from the back video. With atcq you had like 3 hits. And I hated East coast back then. So I see what you're saying but I think atcq album was known. Especially the videos that played on mtv, bet, etc

She's my age, most of us grew up getting pressed by our older siblings, uncles and aunts about this shyt. Stories from the 80's always sound scarier though. I'm glad I was born in the 90's cause I don't know how nikkas was living in NY in the 70's-80's. shyt sounds like a fukking warzone.

How bruh? U dont remember the video? That was a big deal back then.

I was born in 87 bro and my brother was into all West Coast music, I don't even ever remember seeing the video.

I like listening to albums as well so there's
a lot of videos I probably haven't seen.
