This will always be a favorite of mine. This was just as I was getting into east cost hip hop. This and wu led to discovering boot camp, smiff n wessun, keith murray, lords of the underground, etc.... even heiro and souls of mischief. Damn I just had flashbacks of bombin with my crew back in high school. This shyt was the soundtrack to my freshman year. Its crazy how music can trigger old memories like that.:salute::salute:

Damn I'm old as fukk. :ld:

I was just bumpin this the other week...Classic. Redman was on another planet when he created this.

I read that he really hates this album though..but I think its his 2nd best behind Muddy Waters

I wish MCs would grow a sense of humor and original style over hard beats nowadays. shyt that I miss from the rap game is the colorful personalities that don't revolve the "boss" persona.

Rocafella (RIP) caught me off guard. Had no idea that was gonna happen. Loved his cadence on "Basically". Loved "Run N.Y." Hurricane G wasn't the best rapper but I liked how she fit with Red. I remember Month of the Man. Def Jam was killing it back then. The album was the perfect mix of funk and boom bap. Not that Whut? The Album wasn't. Just in a different way. I guess because as the title says it was darker. It was still bugged out Red but in a different way.

I prefer Whut Thee Album more, Muddy Waters too. But this is a damn good album.

How come this was Redmans least favorite? Because of hard drugs?

Still one of my favorite albums of all-time!

Definitely my favorite Redman album. It was always neck and neck with the first album, but I still play this album 4-5 times a week, like it just dropped. Redman was in his prime on this one. Both lyrically and on production. Beyond classic!
