If you cant fake a reference then you probably dont even deserve the job. Here is a little secret. Most companies will never disclose anything on employees other than your dates of employment. Small companies are a little different. But if you work for a large employer you cohld get fired and no one would know unless you tell them. Same thing with your salary.

i worked at one of the biggest warehouses in the country. thousands of workers in that place. the manager really wouldnt have the slightest idea who i am.

you don't have any point of contact in that place that remembers you?

Just be honest and say you don't have one.

Say "It didn't work out" at your last employer and your boxing coach has a better idea of your work ethic.

If they ask why it didn't work out say you didn't like the work conditions and you had to leave immediately. Call sour grapes.
