Shoutout to the homie LeagueCapper from covers.com where he basically ethers the reality behind golden state's streak

Here are all the defensive rankings of the teams they've faced so far.

"29th, 28th, 29th, 13th, 19th, 23rd, 30th, 13th, 18th, 20th, 19th, 23rd, 27th, 26th, 30th. Tonight they will face at #3 Utah without Harrison Barnes."

Strength of schedule for Golden State: 28 :scusthov:

Yellow boys bodying a bunch of bums
Thing I don't like about strength of schedule is that most calculations of it usually factor in that teams own games. So by the end of the year, the good teams will all come out with the easiest SOS but the bad teams will all come out with the hardest.

'Strength of schedule' is perhaps the most misleading stat in sports.

No one is saying the Warriors are a bad team, but let's keep it a buck. Let them body the Spurs, Cavs, and Thunder and quit going :gladbron: at them wiping out the Lakers and Queens

And yet if you followed it tonight you would've known Jazz +8 was a lock :jbhmm: Funny how "useless" stats work, huh?
Why because a stupid stat like SOS laid claim to the strong possibility of the 3rd ranked defensive team playing them close as if some of the worst defensive teams (Nets and Clippers) didn't come close to beating them? SOS is a bullshyt stat, and defensive ratings based on a handful of games don't mean shyt either, especially since teams are typically to give their best effort when playing the Warriors. This is all without mentioning they've played the Clippers, Grizzlies, Kings and Pelicans twice, and their offensive performances against these teams would affect their defensive rating more than if they were to typically play an average offensive team.

It's not a perfect science my g, but it helps provide clarity :jbhmm:

Defending champs playing the second easiest schedule in the NBA tho? :scusthov: Come on Silver, just admit this streak was manufactured

:usure: They've beaten the Memphis Grizzles(2x), Los Angeles Clippers (2x), Houston Rockets, and Toronto Raptors on this run. All playoff teams with stars. They are not just beating up on low-tier teams they've faced some good teams already. Plus every game is a playoff game from now until they lose because the whole league is gunning to be 1st to knock them off now. None of these teams are just laying down to get blown out either.
