Regardless of race, I cannot feel sorry for any NFL coach getting fired

The only jobs I could think of that's more stressful is maybe a CEO, small business owner and a high level gov't official thats more or less it. There aren't many other jobs this stressful that's why so few people are built for it.

I dont think thats true breh. just in software industry theres tons of people who barely sleep, and when they do its in the office, etc. investment bankers live in hell every day.

lots of jobs are highly stressful and leave you exhausted away from family...

the only thing that sucks is the lower level assistant coaches that get fired along with the head coach. They don't make near as much as the head coach and they get scrapped and thrown in the bushes as well. They have to scramble to get another team quick. especially if they have a family to support.

cosign this. those are the ones that get fired without the golden parachute that the head coach typically has.

So you're on a job making $3-4 million dollars per year for a few years or more.....you get fired. Tough. If you saved ur money even halfway decently you'll never be forced to work again a day in ur life. How many of the people saying they "feel sorry for you", can say that? And given the system of pro-sports, you'll get bumped down to a job making $200,000-$300,000 somewhere else. That's hardly a meager living.

If you're a black coach and a white coach got a longer chance than you? Big deal, you still made several million dollars and you have a better situation than 99.99% of all African-Americans. Not saying it's fair, just saying, I can't feel sorry for you.

Its not about "feelin sorry" for a head coach for bein fired. Its still a man losin his job. Its not about the money, its about an individual losing a job in which he loves. I'm not sure if u understand how hard it is to be a head coach. The hours they put in, the stresses of the job, the mental and strategic efforts that thy put in are paramount.

And I don't think that any head coach is seeking out sympathy from u or anyone else.

im pretty sure the majority of nfl coaches love their job, it was a dream to becom ea nfl coach and then its gone

do you actually think guys like andy reid need the money? all of these guys who are fired can get 6 figure jobs tom as coordinators or sports analysts

The fact that there are a ton of variables that go into winning a game which the coach has no control over is the messed up part. Losing your job from things you can't control has to suck.

Romeo Crennel I feel bad for. The guy gets promoted,team (same guys who left him as a coordinator) basically quits on him,witnesses a suicide and gets fired for the second time in his career as coach.

Look at how many people in the USA who have gotten laid off over the past few years due to the economy.......would they give a damn if they had $10-12 million dollars in the bank?

Is it about "a man losing his job he loves" when these CEO's get canned and get $15 million to leave?

And being a coach is a long hour job, but the head coach does moreso the overseeing rather than the grunt work the assts. and coordinators do. A head coach is only as good as his assistants.

Yeah these are the guys who get the worst end of it. And they often do the majority of the work, while the head coach gets all the credit.

SOME coaches may be more hands on. Rex Ryan may be more hands on regarding the Jets defensively. Jason Garrett may be more hands on offensively than ost coaches.

I don't know why u even brought up the fact that assistants/coordinators leave for different teams and head coaches suffering from that that is an obvious fact in some cases.

I'm not even refuting that bruh. But that's for another conversation. But ultimatley no, I don't feel "sorry" for coaches that get fired either. I don't feel "sorry" for anyone tht gets fired. Life ain't fair
