For starters, the Knicks’ implementation of the triangle offense has been a failure, with Miller suggesting team president Phil Jackson needs to adjust to a more suitable offense.

“What does Phil want to do?” Miller questioned. “What does [owner James] Dolan want to do going forward with this? How do we want to play?

“Are we going to continue with this triangle crap or are we going to play a traditional free-flowing style like the Warriors play?

I love the triangle if I have Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, [Shaquille O’Neal] and Scottie Pippen. I’d play the triangle all day. But if I’ve got Carmelo and Porzingis, no, I do not like the triangle.”

Barkley said he is not a fan of Jackson’s offensive system either.

“It’s all about the players,” he said. “Without Kobe, and Shaq and Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, the triangle is just a circle.”

The hell is wrong with Charles?

:dwillhuh: But the Warriors offense is just a faster version of Phil Jackson triangle. Steve Kerr said it himself.
they aint lying though
there are far more motion and way less post ups and far more pick and rolls...
it has triangle elements but they have the most versatile roster because they have 5-6 decision makers on the roster than can handle the ball somewhat well and make passes
if steve kerr had the knicks roster he would be marginally better....
he aint doing shyt with this team

A million percent true, I believe Miller is the first media personality to say what's so obvious. Knicks need to increase their tempo and quit stressing over their half-court sets which will always be at best mediocre with this roster.

I also think it's the way Phil wants to do it vs the Warriors style. The Warriors want to use the triangle scheme with open motion passes from the outside in. Curry and Thompson make life easier for Green and Bogut.

I think Phil wants to use it from inside out. Look at Bynum and Gasol. Personally I still think Phil version is just as good. I think the lakers won, what 6-7 years ago. Just has to get the personal.
