:ohhh:So Phil had nothing to do with winning all those ships:wow:

Did mike win before phil was there?:ohhh:

Did shaq and Kobe win before Phil?:dwillhuh:

What happened when phil left the lakers?:jbhmm:

What happened when he came back to the lakers:patrice:

All these questions need answers brehs:mindblown:

Their is one key that stays the same with all these championships. Anyone care tell help me figure that out?

On the flipside, has Phil ever coached a team to the Championship which didn't have a Top 3 player of that particular season on it?:manny:

Can anyone name a great offense that did not have great players? Of course the players make the offense. So calling out the offense is silly when we all know it doesn't matter either way if you don't have the players.
You want to see great offense run by misfits check a Celtics game

Well Reggie isn't far off, There aren't too many players on the Knicks with the skill set to make the Triangle work, but there are some issue with how it's being run in NY imo. A lot of Knicks possessions take too much time off of the clock, just to end in a long two. The pace isn't being pushed enough either, but I'll admit that's kind of hard to do with Calderon there too. I mean the system succeeds at getting guys to move the ball ( I think the Knicks are near the top of the league when it comes to passes made, yet near the bottom in terms of assits:pachaha:) and creating a bunch of open mid range shots for the Knicks, but I'm sure most teams will live with the Knicks taking those. I think a change in offensive focus and a better coach would help some, but no one under Phil's coaching tree has become a good coach, and Phil doesn't believe in the 3 point shot, and other helpful shyt like advanced analytics. There are parts of the triangle that work, but I think you need to do what the Warriors have done and pull from other systems too, not just run the triangle straight up.

And what is the one thing everybody says about them? "If they ever get a superstar...". That inconsistent, clunky, offensive in Cleveland is ranked higher. An offense will only get you so far no matter how great it is.

Bu bu but the coli told me the offensive schemes teams run is what makes players great and not the other way around. The coli told me Kawhi and Curry are only great because of the teams they play on and if you switch em to another team, they won't be as good as we think they are.

That's not the way to look at things here. Is Cleveland better or worse than the sum of its parts? By how much?

Is Boston greater than the sum of its parts? fukk yes it is. And by such a significant margin that I'd say it's one of the most impressive feats in the NBA outside of the obvious historic shyt that GS and SA are doing.

Why not? Because you don't like it? :heh: The parts are what matter the most.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
The triangle needs an initiator that can handle the ball from the 2 through 4, the Knicks don't have that.

Scottie was that for the Bulls
Odom was that for the Lakers
Kobe was that for the Lakers
Draymond/Iguodala is that for the Warriors

Phil's system is rigid and wont work without the right personnel.

Coli likes to switch narratives whenever it seems convenient to them :heh:

It seems like when you got all time greats running the triangle...it's successful

It seems like when you don't have all time greats running it...it's one of the worst offenses in basketball...

So as usual...unless Phil is somehow going to get two top 20 players in the league on his team...then...

Right now he don't have 1 top 20 player on his team...

When your are focused on riding for certain people and hating on others and not really concerned about what actually happens it's kinda hard to be consistent :manny:.
