Long Live The Kane

Can anyone name a great offense that did not have great players? Of course the players make the offense. So calling out the offense is silly when we all know it doesn't matter either way if you don't have the players.
the last couple of spurs finals teams fit the bill to me...Timmy is historically great for sure, Parker and ginobi are hof'ers, Leonard is now starting to emerge as an elite scorer... but there wasn't a single player on that squad who in their current incarnation would account for how great they were offensively...just looking at that roster as consisted, they shouldn't have been able to basically put on the greatest offensive display in finals history like they did with that dismantling of the heat...schematically they were just that far ahead of what the heat was built to adjust to

good one. They didn't really go into orbit until Kawhi starting going point for point with prime Bron though.

But the Warriors offense is just a faster version of Phil Jackson triangle. Essentially it's the triangle with the Spurs open ball movement scheme. Steve Kerr said it himself.
) and creating a bunch of open mid range shots for the Knicks, but I'm sure most teams will live with the Knicks taking those. I think a change in offensive focus and a better coach would help some, but no one under Phil's coaching tree has become a good coach, and Phil doesn't believe in the 3 point shot, and other helpful shyt like advanced analytics. There are parts of the triangle that work, but I think you need to do what the Warriors have done and pull from other systems too, not just run the triangle straight up.
