Reggie didn't say the triangle was crap he just knows better than to say the word "shyt" with the media. But he's 100% in regards to the personnel running it.

:ohhh:So Phil had nothing to do with winning all those ships:wow:

Did mike win before phil was there?:ohhh:

Did shaq and Kobe win before Phil?:dwillhuh:

What happened when phil left the lakers?:jbhmm:

What happened when he came back to the lakers:patrice:

All these questions need answers brehs:mindblown:

Their is one key that stays the same with all these championships. Anyone care tell help me figure that out?
If he wins with this Knicks team, he can silence that talk. The problem is Phil is full of himself and thinks the triangle is the key but its not. The key is having the best players in the league on your team.

With out great players you can't do great things? Wow. Really fukking insightful Reggie and Charles :snoop: It's also not 'his' system it's Tex Winters system.

The system isn't trash because it's just a system. The people running the system are trash and that is why the system looks like trash. When good people run the system, you get good results.
The system didn't change for Michael and he didn't switch it up for Kobe and Shaq. It was literally the same system. Logic tells you it's the players. Now if you want to blame PJ for that, go right on ahead.

But he's won three separate times. What else does he have to prove?

You say he needs to have the best players in the league but he all he has right now is a top player on the decline a rising rookie and a rest of that were picked out of a scrap heap. Even popavich wouldn't do well with this roster.

Phil built this team all on his own and the players and coaches were selected with the triangle in mind.

He always had an adversarial relationship with front offices but he saw success because those front offices hooked him up with talent.

His emphasis should be on building rosters with 2-3 of the best players in the league.

It is the players.

But the league has also changed.
Maybe the triangle is outdated a bit.

You need special players to run it and be successful.

The triangle keeps the scrubs involved. The players like Kobe and Shaq and MJ and Scottie will get their no matter what.
