Shoutout to Stan Van Gundy :salute:

Because he was criticized for waving Josh Smith, and letting Greg Monroe leave. This Detroit team looks exactly like the Orlando Magic team that went to the finals.

Big man in the middle - Orlando ( Dwight)
Detroit ( Drummond)

Scoring point guard who can facilitate - Orlando ( Jameer Nelson)
Detroit ( Reggie Jackson)

Stretch power forwards who provide space
Orlando ( Rashard Lewis)
Detroit ( Marcus Morris)

The only difference is he doesn't have a small forward who can put the ball in the floor and shoot consistently like Hedo could. I think he was hoping to get this out of Stanley Johnson. But this team is built for the long term.

Good to see Reggie putting in work :ehh:

Still don't understand how the Pistons weren't talked about as a playoff team before the season started by the media.
Because most media people dont watch east teams and go based off names

nikkas thought the nets would be in the playoffs this year

Drummond is going to make them a legit contender with his presence alone just like Dwight did for Orlando and Stan for many years. This time though Stan better learn and find a star wing player to go with him and Jackson who probably is best suited for a 2nd or 3rd option type role .
