The problem with this is, Chet is a lot more mobile than Gobert and he came up during a period where there was more emphasis on being able to defend in space. It's the advantage that all these bigs who're entering the league now have (over those who've been in the NBA for a while), is that their development years have all been fighting to stay alive by being asked to defend more than just their position and in the paint.
As long as he stays healthy, he'll be able to defend just fine on switches. Don't mistake his awkward looking ass for not being able to defend on the perimeter.

Bol Bol needed to have good medicals because he messed up his foot in college. Chet hasn't given anyone a reason to worry about his health other than just being really skinny for his size.
