Obviously it'll take him some time to gain weight and adjust to the NBA game so I won't judge quickly but man I agree...I just don't see it. He's good, his skill set and length fit the league but something just seems off. I'm just not sold on Gonzaga, he played against a lot of ehh competition, and when it was t to get physical during the NCAA tournament he did what he does: balled against the bad seed they played, then struggled against Memphis and Arkansas.

I won't be criticizing him during this upcoming season obviously. I'm all on board with being fair about this. But 2-3 years from now do I think he's gonna be looking like a guy on the path to greatness? No.

hes got skills and iq..but he’s slow as shyt. He’s gonna get smoked on defense his entire career. Gobert is one of the goat defensive players but he even he can’t hold up on switches. Chet is gonna have have to become damn near a Jokic level player on offense to become a great player

People are legit counting on him being baby Jokic on offense and baby Gobert on defense.

In reality I think he might end up being more like Porzingis, a good to great shooting big man who can protect the rim and rebound but you still want to get a real center to pair with him because he can't do real center work on a consistent basis, too scrawny. A plus player, but you don't want him to be your #1 guy. Time will tell though.
