Going back to last year even with better running backs, our power sets are just off against comp. This team is literally built for spread and zone running, but our refusal to run handoffs out of an actual shotgun, or run any passes from under center severely limits what we can do.
Our defense held one of the best offenses in the country to 13 points. Even though we gave up some big plays and had some dumb penalties, we still should have won the game.
This game somehow left a worst taste in my mouth than the game against Michigan last year

Yep. Defense was its usual self other than Mathews giving up that late pass. Two drives for 151 yards and get inside the 10, but resulted in zero points, was the difference. Mostly disappointed only because we’re OSU and I want us to win every game, but otherwise it’s on to the playoffs.

We have almost a month to either get Padilla healthy or Vansickle ready to play. Tegra is just so inconsistent until he’s pushed. He was about to lose his job, then bam he plays well against UCLA and Rutgers and then has probably his best game ever against scUM. Gets praised, everybody stops talking about rotating in another RG or him losing his job altogether, and then he loses his edge again and has a bad game.
I was trying to be nice this morning but all know he's the main factor. He got blown up at least three times that causes loss of yards from his side.
