No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
how easy is it to operate. my father is pc illiterate and just started getting used to ondemand viewing. he only watches sports, history/discovery channel stuff, network tv (fox, nbc, cbs, abc) and the occasional black and white flick that pops up on random channels. could he operate it with teh ease cable is at now?

and how many channels you got now versus what you had with cable. I guess now we got 150 channels onc able and 100 of the same channels in HD

you only get 20 in HD? lets be specific here..

AMC?FX?SPIKE?TCM?DIS?HISTORY?..etc?

what channels/networks DONT you get that you used to that are significant?

At the end of the day is all this trouble and hassle worth saving a couple hundred a month let alone NOT HAVE EVERYTHING IN HD and all your sports etc available.

It's $200 a month brehs...can we pretend to be adults...

:dahell:
what trouble and hassle?
its literally setting up once for 15 minutes and after just turning on a box and clicking where you need to go

You already said not everything is in HD that would be via cable...

You know how easy it is to have Xfinity??? They set it up. I get everything i need. And they extract a couple hundred from my account monthly.

Just saying save all this overboard hustling and do something productive with it...

:mjlol: I'm so used to folks always saying there's no excuse to not have Netflix cause it's only $8 month, that a nikka on here saying there's no reason to not have cable it's only $200 a month has me :mindblown::dead:.

nah man kodi just somethign you download, you can even download it on your pc

just bought my box and havent paid a penny since just pay for internet

all you need is a hdmi outlet or you can use the rca :scust:

U guys dont have to buy the box, u can just use ur laptop... just connect the laptop to ur tv... thats how i started.

getting the box and having a remote to browse for shyt was just more pleasant so i ended going that route.

So I can just download Kodi on my mac mini and feast right now? :lupe:

It's as easy to operate as Netflix
I have 265 live tv channels, and I can add more with different apps etc

The 20 I get in HD I'm talking about a ota digital antenna I get like 20hd channels and a bunch more standard def

Being in Canada I'm sure you'd get more being in the states with a digital antenna

Every channel I had before I get and more.

1. Buy a digital antenna, I have one I paid 10 dollars for on eBay. I get around 19 hd channels :blessed:, clearer than they were when I had cable. Not to mention I never had the CW or Bounce when I was paying a arm and a leg for cable now I have them both.

2. Buy a android tv box

TV Box - Best Android TV Box And Mini PC Deals with Free Shipping | GearBest.com

You can get a quad core with 2 gigs of ram for under 70 bucks, I have a quad core box with only 1 gig of ram and no problems:wow:, just paid 50. Most will come with kodi preinstalled. If not installing kodi is so easy, just open up the browser on the android tv box go to Downloads | Kodi click android arm and voila :blessed:

3. Follow this guide to install fusion and add on installer
Install Addons for Kodi

WIll preinstall the typical apps, genesis (movies/tvshows), phoenix, 1channel etc. :blessed:

4. install ivuetvguide to get around 250live tv channels , hbo, showtime, espn, bbc, etc :wow:
Tutorial How to Install iVue TV Guide Program Add-On Kodi XBMC

5. Call your cable company and tell em to :pacspit:.
Link to antenna?

You won't get regular cable channels with an OTA antenna in the US. Idk how it is in Canada but you only get ABC, NBC type channels with antennas
