Yeah when the board was first created, since then, when has there been a poll thread that determined who will be a mod? I don't know about all subforums, but link me to an example.
This thread / poll doesn't make any sense. "Rekka as new Mod?" but then you have 12 choices. Why not just make a "Arcadium Mod Nominations" thread? Not that it would really lead to a new mod being appointed, but at least it would make more sense. Also the poll results are misleading. At first glance you would think Rekka has this in the bag, but if you do the math, what the poll really tells you is 37 people for, and 41 against.
I have no problems at all with Rekka, and don't mean any disrespect by this at all, but I think a majority of the votes he's getting here is hype from him getting credit for BasedPrime being banned, which I don't really understand why he would be the sole person getting the credit for it in the first place. I don't mean to rehash the entire BasedPrime thread, but being that I saw the entire thread unfold from page 1, Rekka knew BasedPrime was white and assumed everyone else did so he never pushed the issue. Once the news became public a BUNCH of people jumped on and called for BasedPrime to be banned, not just Rekka. Again, no disrespect to the man. I respect him, but where did all this celebration for champion Rekka who slayed the mighty BasedPrime come from?

I would think if the Admins decided it was time for a new mod they would put up an opening thread themselves either in the Arcadium or in Event Staff. BasedPrime got what he asked for, and what he deserved. People claiming "But EVERYONE says disrespectful stuff" in defense of what he did have it backwards. Taking route of a child who gets caught doing something wrong "B b b b but....he did it TOO" is laughable. This situation is a good example of how we can police ourselves for the most part. A decent group of members got together and cut this guy from the herd. We need to continue to do this and not make excuses.

it give the option to change votes if someone changes their mind. the thread was initially a poll with yes or no but other people were referring themselves and others so i added their names. The person can change their mind and pick another candidate at anytime yet the results is still a landslide. THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN.

okay. i'll take that back. it's 24 to 13 being the 2nd highest. This thread ends in 7 days and if needed i will make a thread between the top 2 candidates for MOD like the presidency race..
