My friend has been out of work for like 2 years...

His religion states to keep the Sabbath day holy and that has been hindering his success big time when it comes to job searching...

He says that he still has no plans to work Saturday and will continue to hold out

At what point does your person well being come before your religion?/

the bible has never done a single, TANGIBLE positive thing for this dudes friend, but hes willing to sacrifice being gainfully employed so that he can blindly follow it. such a person, imo, is a brainwashed fool.

how can you defend passing up employment because of the sabbath, but at the same time not have to heart to kill your neighbors who work on the sabbath (word to exodus 31:15)? more picking and choosing/bytchassness when it comes to actually following god

This reminds me of a story from back home.
This chick married a dude and converted to his religion (Jehovah's witness or 7th Day Adventists). So she falls sick and needed a blood transfusion but her, her pastor and her husband refused to do it because it's supposed to be against their religion to receive blood.

Her father slapped the hell out the brawd, pulled a gun on the pastor and son-in-law and told them to get in his way and see if their bible will stop this damn bullet while forcing the chick to get the blood transfusion.

Based on his current skills,the job market, and location,whatever jobs he looking for will be open on Saturday...

My upbringing dosent allow me to really understand where the nikka is coming from...
