Remains of a Group of 95 Former Slave Laborers Reburied In Houston After Controversial Delays

Crazy story, Houston area school district tried to build a school building and found the remains of former slaves who were working and died as part of some bullshyt state ran prison labor system for extremely low wages to zero wages after slavery had been abolished.

They had to stop construction for over a year while they negotiated what they were going to do with it. University of Texas has DNA samples now and they are trying to find descendants.
