Because the use of the word never came with any distinctions. White people called ALL blacks ******s, no matter if they were lower, middle or upper class. It didn't matter to them. That's why that joke is 100% dumb.

See you looked at the joke the wrong way.

He was talking specifically about CLASS. The brillance of the joke that you fail to get is that he acknowledges the word and historical context of the word but also acknowledges that its changed. Most whites whether you want to admit it now ... that usually use the word 'nygger' .. if they aren't just plain out ignorant .. usually use it to address the lowest form of black scum that exist .. OR they use it randomly when emotionally mad.

However I'd say in this day and age .. its use especially by non whites to denigrate the lowest form of scum within the black race.

Now Chris Rock brilliantly played upon it to say ...' WE DONT LIKE THOSE PEOPLE EITHER' ... Now you're still bent up on the word ... but you are overlooking the class aspect of it.

Had he did the joke and not used a racial term. Probably said Ratchets vs Regulars .. you would have loved it.

But thats why he's such a brilliant comedian because if you can relax your racial sensitivity for a moment you not only get a good laugh but get a interesting outtake on life and social commentary. And to think he's doing 90 minute specials of this straddling the line the whole time.

Comedic Genius. And one of the reason why nowadays comedians cant compare to him.

Regardless ... That was a brilliant Class joke with a Racial Twist to it. But because of 1 word that admittedly has caused a lot of psychological damage to the Black community. It has been lost in translation since then.

Attempting to justify a CAC's use of that word, outside of feebly tryna "spit" the latest YG track with his CAC friends at a kegger. :camby:

It was a good joke, but it was just a joke. He understood it was just av joke when he said it and did not mean for it to be taken literally....but then the c00ns got a hold of it :snoop:

Using the word ****** to seperate yourself from other Black folk is some ultimate c00n shyt and fukk anyone who uses that joke as the basis of their manifesto.

In a 60 Minutesinterview, Rock said, "By the way, I've never done that joke again, ever, and I probably never will. 'Cos some people that were racist thought they had license to say ******. So, I'm done with that routine."[2] - Chris Rock
I understood the way he meant it, but, I don't like how it's received.

And I'm not even talking about the way white people received (I don't care).

I think we have a bigotry issue within the black community and I felt that joke perpetuated that.

I don't even like the C word like that, but I agree with this totally.

There is no easy way to articulate the need that successful people have for people who are less fortunate to improve their standards and value through education and an adherence to the laws of Christ, friend.

My understand of Christ's teaching is that being ain't gon' get u in heaven. So, use those riches to help the poor and weak.

Also, if God says we can come as we are, who are upper class black people to say; ya'll need to get yourselves together before we assist ya'll?

Another thing the Word says; love isn't judgemental, nor does it keep record of wrong doin'. (1 Cor 13)

Hopefully, I didn't misinterpret your post, but, that's how that Chris Rock bit feels, to me.

Black people need to get over their intra-bigotry and self-hate and associate themselves with all their brothers and sisters regardless of their behavior or environment.

What you said is very true. Successful people are putting themselves on a pedestal as the example to strive for economically but honestly, you dont know what these individuals are doing privately while they project the image they project is that they are morally in the right, but obviously God says its easier for a camel to pass through a needle then for a rich man to get into heaven so clearly, he knows something about their lifestyle that we do not.

The goal of humanity i guess is to get everyone to a standard of living that allows them to be happy and not worry about adequate food, clothing and shelter and to ultimately alienate themselves from the ways of demonic filth which only demoralize friends and send us back into that downward spiral of garbage to replague the world.
