He was a black belt in Karate, which for the most part requires space to be effective(that is, unless you're skilled in Kyokushin, which is pretty much the japanese version of Muay Thai with clinch work, elbows, knees, etc). He was fighting a monster of a pro boxer in Mike Tyson in a restroom, most people regardless of skill would've been fukked. Tyson is a whole different breed of fighter breh....and fighting in range was his bread and butter
