I started that "If Kobe wins a 5th ring" thread back in the old country. shyt went like 200 pages, 1000 posts. nikkas weren't giving Kobe any love, 5 rings or not. Bron gets one....and he's better than Jordan. These the nikkas you arguing with on a day to day basis

for Kobe he had to get rings to get in the discussion he wasn't a good enough player for his game to stand alone

for Lebron he is already in the discussion and the rings just add to his legacy

its very simple look at the stats from 19 to 28 for both Kobe and Lebron

Lebron came into the league at 19 and took over...NEVER in history did a guy so young come in right away with such an advance game

it took years for Kobe to get there....you can argue he already had 3 rings before he was even top 5 in the league

your mistake is looking at Lebron and Kobe as equals from the beginning which is just not right

I actually don't remember that. I do however remember nikkas using Kobe's 3 early rings to put him over young Jordan as well as his contemporaries because at the time that was pretty much all he had to even start a comparison to Mike and the only thing separating him from his peers. He has since distanced himself from his "peers" and proved himself to be comparable to Mike however that doesn't change the fact that nikkas were using BS reasoning then and have merely transitioned to more BS reasoning today. And now history is being re-written Anybody remember in 05-07 how much individual stats mattered and how winning rings or just getting out of first round was a function of teammates? Ol as the Kobe turns ass nikkas.

:Ididnttouchit: I never said he'd be in Jordan's class, the "rings" argument was something I never used, to me he's an all-time great (Top 10) but grossly overrated by his fans. For me it always came down to the fact he just wasn't as good as you all said. And lets keep it 100, you can't be better than the man you're trying to be, just like anything else, the more copies of something you make the lower the quality will be
