Outside of @Malta....I ran through 30 posts and none of these dudes have a legit argument as to why one rule applies to Kobe and another to LeBron. Bunch of ad hominem. I dont know why I expected anything different :aicmon:

2001 Regular Season

Shaq: 28.7/12.7/3.7/2.8 on 572 FG%

Kobe: 28.5/5.9/5.0/1.7 on .464 FG%

2001 Post Season:

Shaq 30.4/15.4/3.2/2.4 on .555 FG%

Kobe 29.4/7.3/6.1/1.6 on .469 FG%

2002 Regular Season

Shaq: 27.2/10.7/3.0/2.0 on .579 FG%

Kobe: 25.2/5.5/5.5/1.5 on .469 FG%

2002 Post Season:

Shaq 28.5/12.6/2.8/2.5 on .529 FG%

Kobe 26.6/5.8/4.6/1.4 on .434 FG%

You are delusional if you believe a 22 and a 23 year old Kobe who wasn't even in his prime was better than a 28 and 29 year old PRIME Shaq. Kobe was a top 3ish player both years, but he wasn't better than Shaq. That's crazy talk.

I specifically stated that Kobe had better numbers during the Western Conference playoff runs up until the NBA Finals.......you post the numbers including NBA Finals:rudy:

2001 Western Conference Playoff Run

Kobe 31.7 ppg
Shaq 29.2 ppg

2002 Western Conference Playoff Run
Kobe 29.6 ppg
Shaq 26.4 ppg

Kobe BEEN the man since 2001.....Shaq dominated the 6ers and Nets while Kobe dominated the Spurs/Blazers/Kings

The fact that you even have to argue whether a 28 year old Shaq was better than a 22 year old Kobe says alot about both of them.

Even as a young dude, Kobe was almost as good as one of the most dominating players ever. And at the same time, Shaq would be the clear cut man on any other squad, but its revisionist history to pretend that he carried Kobe. Its a grey area with those two. Shaq won the FMVPs but, Shaq is the only top 10 player to have another teammate averaging 28, 30 points per game. You can't try to throw rank & boss up on a nikka when he's scoring 30 points everynight to help your ass. We would look at Scottie & Jordan's relationship alot differently if Scottie was averaging 29ppg a year :stopitslime:

Why don't you call out the posters that you're referring to? You're arguing against strawmen at this point.

My nikka could end up being 1-3 in Finals appearance but, he's better than dudes who were 4-0 and 3-1 after their first four :ohhh:

Fistful of jewels
you just dont get it

for Kobe he had to get rings to get in the discussion he wasn't a good enough player for his game to stand alone

for Lebron he is already in the discussion and the rings just add to his legacy

its very simple look at the stats from 19 to 28 for both Kobe and Lebron

Lebron came into the league at 19 and took over...NEVER in history did a guy so young come in right away with such an advance game

it took years for Kobe to get there....you can argue he already had 3 rings before he was even top 5 in the league

your mistake is looking at Lebron and Kobe as equals from the beginning which is just not right

Oh really?
81, who else has done that? One man. beating an entire team through 3 quarters. 4 straight games of 50. 40 point games streak. 35 ppg., etc etc. Thats more than anything the majority of players in history have done.

The ring argument is so fukking stupid. A TEAM wins a championship not one individual player. If you don't have a good to great supporting cast you aren't winning shyt. I've seen Lebron and Kobe be the two best players in the NBA for a number of years and not even make the finals.

Ring argument is silly.

Blame Jordan stans.
