My wife is a special education kindergarten teacher. She comes home and does paperwork and lesson plans for most of the time she is home during the week. She has a kid that is so far gone he shouldn't be in her class but there is nothing the school can do because the parents won't allow it. For my NYC heads, he should be in a district 75 school and not a regular special ed class, he bites my wife, attacks the other kids, and constantly pees his pants. I used to think teaching was the biggest hustle going until I eventually married a teacher and saw first hand the work she puts in and the bullshyt she has to put up with.

Defend teachers brehs, the snobbiest, most entitled bytch ass group of workers America has.

Teachers have it easy.

Weekends off, holidays off, 2 months straight off in the summer.

Vacation days, sick days.

Easy ass curriculum, form a formula and keep using it for years.

Easy to deal with kids, kids are the least difficult to control.

Average 60-70k a year.

Defend teachers brehs.
lol what? kids are easiest to control?.....ok easy cushy job. wait have u ever been a teacher in nyc?

Children are easy to control because their minds are still developing, adults are far more difficult in conditioning than children. This is a FACT.

My five children are far easier to control compared to me trying to control five adults.

If there's no one teach you, how will you ever learn?

Good teachers are worth every penny and then some. The teaching profession should be one of the highest paid careers there is (based on performance of course).

In comparison to work in the private industry, it IS a cushy gig. I'm not saying that there aren't some teachers that deserve that kind of money and then some, but in the private industry, you have to be pretty elite at what you do to be in that salary range and you're not getting tons of vacation and holidays, amazing benefits, or a pension plan.

The way things were originally set up, government jobs were conservative and safe. You wouldn't get rich doing them and the benefits were to reward you for giving up more money in the private industry to serve the public good. The government salaries have continued to go up while they have settled and/or decreased in most other fields.

I get paid above 80k and my job is cush as fukk compared to a teacher. I walk in at 1030 and leave at 530 and maybe answer a couple emails after until 730 and present to clients occasionally. It's stressful in the beginning but once you get the hang of it 5 years in it's child's play. But you have to be comfortable dealing with numbers, tech and data. Our medical benefits are not as good as city but not bad either. My deductible is only $250 a year and for an 80k salary that isn't killing my budget (as I try to stay in good health).

The pension most teachers get is bullshyt. They will get paid about 45k after taxes and other shyt. (My mother got a city job and will get 20-30k more on average than teachers for her pension.) Meanwhile if I do consulting on the side when I'm 65 I can probably make about $200-300 an hour and work 5-6 hours a week to pay for my vices to supplement my social security and medicare or whatever the fukk 65+ seniors get.

Teachers have it hard. They have a critical job for this society and don't get compensated enough. Government salaries aren't going up by that much man. I'll probably be making 200k at the age of 50 - You can't make that money in government unless you are in a really high role like district superintendent or some shyt. I can make 2x the money as a them with 1/2 the responsibility and stress in private sector.

Haha kids are easy to control. This might be the dumbest shyt I've read here. :russ:. That's why so many kids grow up fatherless cause kids are so easy to control. They got to deal with your bad ass kids that you can't even deal with. Sure that's true in upscale schools but teaching in the hood is a whole different level. fukk that I'll pass on your kids.

Maybe you're only being state specific as California is a highly liberal state with powerful unions, so maybe they get paid over there. But it's not same in other parts of the country or globally. Teachers are not caking like that...and in my perfect world, they would :manny:.

My girl is a teacher
And I have dated and have family members that are teachers

And contrary to what people want to believe

Not all teachers spend a lot of off time grading papers and doing school related shyt
Not all are coming out of pocket

The average salary of the teachers I know is about 50k

And that is down south where the money stretches longer

They can make more by working summer school

My girl makes 30hr to tutor on the side

They can get a whole other full time job in the summer and cake up

High school teachers seem to work the most

But if u teaching 1st grade u are not taking long to grade anything

My girl teaches 2nd grade and honestly it is a fukking easy ass job
Yet she will complain

Teachers do not get paid like that. And they're always busy grading papers and keeping these kids engaged. Do u know how hard it is to keep kids of this generation to sit still, not look at their phones, and be engaged in things that actually are being disproved or irrelevant these days? let alone break up fights or disorderly conduct. Nah bro can't cosign.

Also they have to come out of pocket for certain supplies since certain schools have dwindling budgets. Even in catholic private schools teachers had strikes. Ever notice sometimes they wear the same clothes all the time or work other jobs as well? My Spanish teacher also worked at Macy's. Nah bruh u on ur won. But coaches are a WHOLE different story.

Man, these HS coaches be pure doodoo but schools don't fire em cause parents say " WHAT ABOUT THE LIFE LESSONS"
