This was my favorite cartoon as a kid. I remember being pissed every day because it came on in the morning and I'd always have to leave in the middle of every episode to go to school.

Watched a few episodes of Spectacular and that was pretty dope too.

Ultimate Spider-Man is though. But that's aimed at a younger audience so I can't really hate.

I'm in the middle of watching it. It was def. better as a kid. In terms of story and watching the show as an adult, X-Men withstood the test of time, but this show didn't. It's still dope how they used every villain, except Sandman, in the show and the cameos helped out as well.

The way they handled the MJ/Peter thing was

One of my favorite parts of the show, then again there isn't much I don't like. If it had been a little edgier then it woulda been a more strong contender for GOAT. Plus how it ended was eh, happens after Madame Web takes Peter to MJ? Do they go back to life as it was? Do they have to live in a post apocalyptic NYC? In fact, where the fukk were the X-Men and Fantastic 4 when the goblins and Spider Carnage raised hell?

one of my childhood favorites but i cant mess with anyone who puts it up there with batman and JL.... i can still watch those today and be entertained, they hold up very well .... watching spiderman TAS today is just ..... it really has nostalgia value only

Idk breh, I'm going with Spectacular. For one, it was technically put together better which wasn't the fault of the writers on the Fox show but there were no random cuts or inserts from past episodes.

Peter's supporting cast were all present in Spectacular, including Gwen, Captain Stacy and Sha Shan.

The Green Goblin story was told in such a dope fashion and showed how much of a prick Norman really is

The Daily Bugle was more fleshed out and used better

The Big Man (L. Thompson Lincoln)

The enforcers

The real sinister six, not some makeshift version called the insidious six complete with an Electro who was the son of the red skull

Too many homages to the comics and the movies

Even the black costume saga was done better

I know cats on here probably didn't give it a chance due to the animation style but anyone who has slept on it, needs to give it a chance if you call yourself a spider-man fan or a fan of the genre in general.

Breh after all this time I'm just now realizing that he is completely overreacting. Like shocker tried to kill him which is what shocker, a bad guy, would do and he's just fukkin losing it! So damn funny. And I'm glad to see spectacular is getting love. I feel like even with two seasons under it's belt it's GOAT status but damn when Weismann talks about his plans for the future? Death of Gwen Stacy, the hobgoblin, MJ and Pete hooking up, college, spider man no more. Damn. I need to watch it tonight
