Boxing takes a lot more talent and skill shyt so does fake wrestling needs more skill

UFC always looks the same two dudes rolling around till one gets a headlock and it's over

I love boxing and mma. I don't even like comparing the two because they are different sports. But you can't go around saying things like "boxing is dead" or "mma is taking over" when those guys are being paid peanuts and boxers salaries are rising. Didn't cotto just sign a 50 million dollar deal for 3 fights? You can add up the last 20 ufc cards and i doubt their fighters made that much combined. It's a fact these guys are being paid 90k to headline ppvs while boxers you've never heard of get double in non ppv fights.
People who say boxing is dead or dying are just as ignorant as people who say the same about MLB. Just because you don't like it or aren't interested anymore doesn't mean it's dying.
Perfect case and point:

you know how these casual fans are posting that shyt tho

they think if a boxer has a loss on his record then his time is done :laff: like everyone supposed to have Mayweather record :laff:

All those boxers you listed ESPECIALLY Broner, Garcia and Alvarez can go on to have Paquiao like careers (multiple losses while still being a top draw)

Cotto got multiple losses just signed a $50 million deal :heh:

these people kill me thinking if a boxer has a loss , then they career over

The success of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight appears to have blown away even the most optimistic expectations, with the preliminary projections from being 4.4 million buys and $400 million in total revenue.

Mayweather’s cut was estimated by him over the weekend at being $210 million to $240 million and Pacquiao’s numbers are expected to wind up between $140 million and $160 million. Mayweather earned $125 million already and as of the weekend said he was expecting another $100 million from his cut of the PPV revenue past the expected threshold. If that’s the case Mayweather, in one day, will have earned double what any other athlete except him and Pacquiao has ever earned in a calendar year.

People can say that this was the last big fight and boxing is dead, but all indications are the opposite. The Canelo Alvarez vs. James Kirkland boxing match on HBO on 5/9 did 2,146,000 viewers on average for the three round fight, an amazing number for HBO. It was the most watched fight on premium cable since 2006, and HBO is the place where all but the biggest fights take place. The live event at Minute Maid Park in Houston drew 31,588 fans, although they kept the ticket prices low.

But the belief is that Alvarez will fight either Miguel Cotto or Gennady Golovkin later this year on PPV. The belief within boxing is that either of those two fights will top 1 million buys, a number that no UFC event looks to approach, and UFC has been having a great year.
