It's kind of wild to imagine how much Odd Future is making versus how much they're spending compared to other people in the rap game. How much profit are they making off of their music, merchandise, and live shows?

Same with the television show. How much would they really have to spend to create all that stuff? A lot of it is kind of...home video kind of stuff.

One can assume they're BANKING off that shyt.

Saw them live out in Royal Oak (last year, I believe). Very good live experience. Their fans go HARD.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is profit for 90% of these rappers because we all know their product is straight up booty. If you're not releasing singles that are going plat or gold, and your getting raped for your album recoup then YOU LOSS. It doesn't matter if your album only sells 10 copies if you can go on tour and sell out shows all over the country. TV money, merchandising, and you're not dealing with 5 nikkas taking your money before you can even count and splitting it 20 ways you won.

Their music never fell off because it was never good to begin with. Not like they went from dropping classic material to all of a sudden releasing trash. They were releasing average shyt that just happened to catch on because they were kids and on that fukk everything tip. All they did was lose that initial hipster hype(which happens to everyone) and fall back and start making real money. Like someone has already said, there was no way in hell they would have ever been a main force in the mainstream so there was no room for them to advance. I just think you were premature in making this thread breh.
