As a young breh in my early 20s, the only time I get head nods is from black men who look early 30s and up, or old heads. They be calling me ‘brotha’ too. Old heads will actually nod at me first mostly.

Gen Z and young millennial aged black men are on a DIFFERENT typa time. If you even so much as lock eyes in their direction for 5 secs while passing em by, straight up mean mug you or pretend they don’t see you. Or you in a venue and they be looking across at you, sizing you up.

Yeah I’m 25 and most times I only get a return from older brehs.

With a lot of younger brehs you get the :mjpls: unfortunately.

Yes you can
from this thread it seems people are saying its generational?

back in the day my dad noticed the head nod happened less when he was in the tri state area compared to the midwest/south...
...he hypothesized that it was because there were more non FBA (that term didnt exist back in those days :russ: ) black folks in the tri state area and they didnt feel that connection black Americans had with each other
