untrue...you have to figure the amount of kids coming up who don't do their homework

there are definitely kids that remember "why" and "locked up" before their old shyt...teenagers and 20 somethings who probably don't even know/remember they were on bad boy

they'd probably ask who the lox was or be like oh do you mean d-block

yea that's true. I meant mainly people in there mid 20's and up. I mean I fukks w/the Lox and i'm not trying to clown them in no way shape or form.

publishing and lack of sales, you know those things that had them crying to diddy

That would have been the case even if they stayed with Diddy, that is neither here nor there. I can't speak on other regions, but in the NYC area they were bigger with RR. And lack of sales didn't have them crying to diddy, the bad contract that they signed was the reason for all of the discord.

they were hotter on the streets with the RR i agree. However they were still underachievers.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Puffy had already released them from Bad Boy when they did this interview. But what they were complaining about was the fact that Puffy owned 50% of their publishing. Again, they were complaining about a contract that they signed. Meanwhile, Puffy made them n*ggas. Without Puffy, them n*ggas would've never had no hits. That shiny suit era did wonders for them n*ggas.

nah the point was it was the big bad LOX.. they were REAL.. killers.. drug dealers.. puff was some bytch nikka.. soft.. paper gangster

they spent a lot of time talking shyt.. saying how they'd kill him, they'd do this, do that... cracking jokes on him.. saying how he was doing them so wrong

the man gets on the phone and starts off with "y'all ain't killin nothing" then says they need to direct that towards nikkas who really getting at you (50 at the time).. then basically speaks on how he seen all them and they do nothing. that he approached jada, not the other way around, and told him if he had any problems to address it direct... you was face to face.. you didn't do a damn thing.. didn't even raise your voice to the man

but you go run up to the station and do it... and when he calls you don't say none of that shyt... quickly turn to "we can't do anything violent, what can we do"

what nikka??? you the LOX remember... you was just talking that shyt 30 seconds ago before he called.. now you on some "oh what can we do" type shyt.

then he says I'M AT THE OFFICE RIGHT NOW COME TALK TO ME... "nah nah nah nah nah... you lying.. you know we can't come there" again i'm at the office fam come on down... "excuse excuse excuse"

maybe that wasn't ether.. but it damn sure exposed them as some "just running they mouth" type nikkas when that whole interview before that was "we might have to kill this nikka"

Puff: Why y'all talkin reckless for :childplease:
Lox: When we see puff, we gonna throw a fridge at that nikka. Them double door joints :birdman:
Puff: How come no fridges were thrown when we were on stage together last month :nonikkas:?

ur tripppin we are the streets went gold and jada had platinum albums after badboy as well
Album, the last kiss went plat, that is it, the rest gold. Still i am not hating on him, he had good mixtapes, he has every color of car possible, but he was never a superstar, he is at best a B- to C level rapper same as the Lox, skill wise he is A level but mainstream appeal B- TO C.

I remember this like it was yesterday. They were there in the fall of 2005 to promote Sheek's After Taxes album.... Sheek was in the studio too during that interview, but he never said a word lol. Also what stems from the lox finally going on air after diddy/their publishing was because 50 had just dropped the "i run ny" dis s joint where 50 says he was gonna buy the lox publishing from diddy lmao. That got them boys scared so the lox had to do what they had to do before they became 50 cents puppets or the subject of ridicule. At the end, things worked out for the lox and they eventually got their pub back (or most of it from what I heard). LOL @ when Jermaine dupri and Carmelo calling in near the end of the interview. lol.

Diddy actually came to the studio the next day with contracts in his hand. Gangsta style and showed Angie that work.

Ironic Jada and the lox had them "rape'n you records" skits back on their early albums. lol.
