shyts a bizarro world here sometimes, benzino was trying to take advantage of his position and attacked who he felt had a spot he deserved, he could care less about any black struggle or any social causes, if he did, hed be out there right now fighting for whats right, not c00ning it up on tv

I'm not even an Eminem fan, but Benzino never gave a damn about the black struggle unless it gave him $$$ in his pocket.

I think Eminem is corny but even I have to admit that "The Sauce" is up there with No Vaseline and Real Muthafukin Gs

it's highly underrated, there was literally nothing Benzino could say after something like that

and I forgot the song existed until this thread was made.......the Diss came out before 50's GRODT album did, time flies

'cause you gotta stay up to 3 in the mornin to see your video on tv

I remember there being debates on if that was the most lopsided battle in Hip-Hop History because of how much Benzino came out on the losing end like losing The Source. But, I still have to remember Prodigy on that SummerJam Screen. That might have been the worse. Also Cam'Ron killing Stan Spit's career before it even started.

"Peckerwood mad cause his record went wood
No respect in the hood, fled to his neck of the woods
Got in touch with his roots, found the redneck in his blood
And said, "Heck, country western rap records are good"

:russ:

That whitey ford gruffy voice Em used for that last line though.

Em always made me bust out laughin when he does the Canibus knockoff voice in songs too.

:wtf:

this makes absolutely no sense seeing that he lost his company by going at interscope. nor did he have anything to gain from the ordeal.

the people that only cared about $$$ were all the rappers that didnt speak up but agreed behind closed doors.

This just means he had no foresight.
He didn't know that going at em would be the end of him.

He thought it was going to benefit him.

how could this possibly have benefited him?

only way he was gonna come out of this unscathed is if other rappers banned together and stood for something. but those days were already over.

Getting his name out there and using the eminem beef as a vehicle to do that.

I had a subscription to the source.it can't be a coincidence that ads for him and his son were every other page during this beef

im not saying that he didnt have ulterior motives, but it didnt take a genius to know that they were gonna start f*ckin with the source, and that the media would be one-sided.

and all of this happened immediately.

That's what I'm saying.
He had no foresight.

He attached the racist tapes to an issue of the source in a plastic bag and started advertising the hell out if him and his son.

He thought he was gonna make people stop fukking with em and his career was gonna take off

at least 90% of eminem's fans are white. do you think they cared about the tapes?

and theyre the main ones coppin mags. thats why XXL turned around and did the complete opposite by turning their magazine into aftermath monthly. ultimate cooonery, yet nobody ever says chit.

i knew right then & there that hip-hop was about to die slow. im not surprised by anything thats going on now. and i hate when people make threads acting all stupid, wondering why rap is so wack now. they need to get popped in the mouth.

Pretty much. Benzino thought that beef would have that Fif success for him and have a multi-platinum album with stale club hits like "Bootee" :mjlol:
