Guess it depends on where you’re from if listening to a Nelly album is considered bad or not

I’m from the Lou so I remember this album. This album had a lot of experimental features. Mase second comeback verse after lean back is also on this album.

I can tolerate his first 2 albums and a select few off this one

A lot of artists don't have work that you could put your hands on before they blew up. From my understanding, most of what became Country Grammar was his demo. He wasn't a plan. He was discovered by Cudda Love who was connected to Mase. Nelly's production was handeled by his childhood friend. Dude produced all of Country Grammar.
Yeah...before the mixtape era, most artist's debut albums already existed in some form prior to official release

He had music out locally here before Country Grammar. Somebody posted 1 of the earlier St Lunatic songs in this thread

people's reaction to this was hilarious, but I think I know what the issue with Nelly was, he always have to have a melody or harmony in every song. All his songs could technically go on the radio.

Yea, imagine listening to an album based off one of the biggest rap singles of that decade
Having a big rap single ain’t enough for me to listen to your album. But if a song like “Hot in Herre” is enough to sell you on an entire album then I guess you bought Flo Rida and Pitbull albums too :hubie:

I remember when that song with those Nina Sky girls and Prodigy was all over the radio for like a week. Never thought I’d miss 04, but with the bs today… :to:
