That time period (98-2004) was a great time to be a pop/rap artist. Going gold was considered damn near a failure, and if you had buzz you were almost guaranteed to hit the lotto with your first release. The industry was making mind boggling amounts of money.
It funny looking at Nsync now because the group, besides JT of course, looked like they should have been working at Hot diggity dog or somethin and not being the biggest stars in the world. JT had them on that Timberlake stimulus package.
