Its been a bad conference period. To get to the finals has beat:

Baby Rose with no help.
Old Celtics led by Rondo (and he had to go crazy to do it)
Indiana missing their best player (and he needed 7 to do it)
Indiana again
The "60 Win" Hawks
The Lowry led Raptors
Isaiah's Celtics

He has never had to face a team with the Talent level of the 2012 or 2016 Thunder (I know he beat them in 2012) or the Spurs or hell even the Clippers (who knocked off the defending champs in 2015) to get out of his own conference.

None of those teams except MAYBE 2013 Indiana make the conference finals in the West.
