This is the real question. I've been trying so hard to keep my ears and eyes open but nothing is rising. I think cannabis is it right now but I do not know how to "invest" in it.

This how I felt about vaping.

There was a breh on another forum that legit forgot he mined Bitcoin on another computer. Turns out he was an early adopter and is now worth millions. Dude lives somewhere here in DC too and apparently keeps his wealth on the low to avoid getting run up on.

Dude even still works his normal job.
That's a very rare occasion.

Everyone I know in the crypto game who has made significant difference either had a lot of money to play with or heavily mined/traded - like many of us who dumped alot of our salaries each month at newegg/microcenter

I don't think cannabis is going to blow up like people think. How many more people are going to smoke it just because it's legal?

There are people like me who don't even want to be around it. Plus, the novelty of being a rebel smoking weed will be gone when soccer moms are smoking it on the regular.

Some kids/young people do things just because it's looked down upon by older adults.

I've done ok. But I was lucky enough to be in the OG thread. I know some people in there got close to a milly. Also, I know people hate on the site but Reddit helped put me on. I've honestly learned a lot from Reddit. I wish people wouldn't be so close-minded about it.

I lost money on this crypto shyt. I still got about $1000 in various coins on Coinbase and Binance but I'm not buying shyt else.

I'm always willing to try something new but didn't find out about it until a few month before it blew up.

Apparently there were threads on thecoli about it. I never saw them...I wish someone had tagged me or something.

Made $12K on Bitcoin tax free with my first trade happening Sep or October 2017. Gradually bought on the run up til the average cost was like $8K per coin.

I'm mad as hell for not checking out that thread earlier. A year earlier and I could've made some serious money.

Okay to the dudes that made money off that cryptocurrency

Was it aintshyt money or real life changing money?

Life Changing, but not retirement bread. I was in very very very early. Yeaaaaars before the 2017 boom and it took until 2017 before my shyt blew enough to make that kind of money.

The problem is no matter how fast the growth rate, you WILL sell on the way up. If I had held absolutely everything I ever acquired starting from early 2012 all the way until the peak, I could have crossed a million. But that's nearly impossible. When your money triples, quintuples, or more, you are going to sell some of it to take profit. The bigger the jump, the more you will sell off to secure profit.

I was so frustrated that I didn't make MORE than I did by holding longer and selling more towards the top, that I held on to like 50-55 ETH tokens telling myself that I wouldnt make that mistake again. But of course since then it hasnt done shyt, but basically drop in value. :sadcam:

Oh well.

he must really love his job...I called in sick immediately for about a month then gave my boss 3 weeks notice the day I returned...I should’ve given him 2 but I felt bad about leaving the students so suddenly so I gave him an extra week to find a decent replacement and of course he didn’t smh

I understand why some ppl keep their jobs tho...my career made up a HUGE part of who I was and how I managed my time on/off the job...I do not miss the job @ all but not having a family/career I feel like I’m in limbo right now...I also understand why athletes “retire” and then return to their profession later...I’ve become obsessed w/ working out to keep my mind occupied/challenged
