I give 20-25 games before I make statements but, with Randle's T-Rex arms the lakers will need a shot blocking Center or stagger his minutes with the bench, I think Jabari can be slightly above average against PFs.
He's been one of the few Lakers to have a somewhat positive impact on defense (alongside Nance and possibly Ingram), but he's still a (very) poor rim protector.
Jabari hasn't shown much defense as well
Randle is essentially a sophomore so he could still have a lot of development on D, but I can't imagine he'll be a good match up against the longer PFs like AD in the playoffs.
There aren't as many scoring PFs in the East compared to the West and Jabari has JKidd as a coach. I think he'll be at least decent going forward. And I can give him the benefit of the doubt because he's got the length and athleticism, at least until All Star Break.
