Remember when Wade being better than Kobe was debatable?

Duncan, KG, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, etc., while still very good players, are no longer great All-Star type guys.

Naw, both KG and Duncan have proven they can still play at an All-Star level. KG was arguably the second/third best player in last season's playoffs.

Yup and wasn't nash and all star last year? Nash SHOULD return to his old form with a system that favors his style of play.

Yeah, Nash played really well last year - 53% shooting (highest of his career) and 10.7 assists, although he was starting to decline in the latter half of the season +

Think about how Nash at 38-years old, still manages to play at such a high level; 50+% from the field with 10 assists per game, in the 6th most efficient offense in the league - playing with a line-up of:

Shannon Brown
Jared Dudley
Channing Frye
Martin Gortat

+

Nash proved he could play at a high-level when playing 35+ minutes =

12 PPG on 52% shooting and 13 APG.

Keep in mind this is with a less-talented team; Phoenix had a higher offensive-efficiency + more team points per game. Suns were ranked 8th and Boston were ranked 26th (PPG) = individually, Nash did MORE with LESS and at a higher-efficiency rate. And this isn't even taking into account the man-to-man press', traps, hedges, defensive-schemes - Nash saw on the regular; that in comparison, Rondo hardly ever see at all.

Hopefully for the Lakers sake, he can rekindle some of that when he comes back.

None of those guys (Nash included) are as close to their career best on a consistent basis as Kobe is. Not even close.

Those guys can still play at an All-Star level for a month or two. Kobe has been doing it season in, season out. Neither of those other players is still the best player on their team, and haven't been for at least a couple of seasons.

:stopitslime:

Lebron was the only player in last season's playoffs that was unarguably better than KG. KG was as good as he's ever been since 2008. He's been a top 3 defender for the last said seasons.

KG hasn't been the Celtics best player the last couple of seasons? What league have you been watching? :wtf:

plus let's not act like it's been all smooth sailing for kobe the last few seasons. you even had some of the sternest 'kobe stans' questioning his ability at times last season as well.

Ima Wade fan to the fullest but i would never argue that he's better than Kobe. But between 09-11 D-Wade did have slightly better stats then Kobe and that's when the debate started happening and people started asking was he better than Bean. Wade is already starting to slow down from his hard style of play, while Kobe is still at least a nine on a scale of ten and probably will go strong for at least another 3 years.

I respect Kobe's game so :salute: to him for still being able to play at a consistent level, I hope that he doesn't need to play hero ball every night for them to be competitive circa 2006. Like I've said a few times now, watching Wade become :old: status is going to be hilarious.

Pierce still putting up 20+ points a game at 35 with 'zero' athleticism :to::smugfavre:
