Dropped the best album of the decade and has people clamouring over when his next one's gonna drop.

Meanwhile The Weeknd transformed into the male Katy Perry, Miguel flopped badly, and Chris Brown is still just Chris Brown.

Don't compare the two, maxwell had 3 dope albums in 5 years, was a universally acclaimed artist and popular with listeners before he dipped for 8 years, came back, dropped a classic and to this day has us waiting on part 2. Frank is a hipster driven media darling who dropped a dud of a debut, and outside of continual pushes from jay and Ye, no one gives a fukk about

You not being a fan of Frank Ocean doesn't mean people aren't anticipating his album. Saying no one gives a fukk about him or his music is inaccurate.

People are weird. I know plenty of people who are buying Franks project as soon as it drops. Myself included. I like that he's waiting. Let that anticipation rise.

Y'all gotta get that homophobia out of your heads. It's idiotic at this point.

I hope I'm not homophobic but it honestly it was weird hearing about a man singing about his love for another man, just being honest. It was hard to overlook. That dont mean he is trash by anymeans. Just that I couldnt fukk with it

I don't know. I look at music the same way I look at books. I can distance my life and my preferences from the music. I've never read one, but I'm pretty sure I could read a book about a gay kid struggling with his sexuality if it was well written. You shouldn't have to directly relate to the music to listen to it. If that was the case, no one would listen to modern rap because most people aren't making it rain in the club or have money to blow. That's just me though.

His music has always been dope as fukk to me, and I liked 'Channel Orange' a lot, Weeknd left this dude way behind in the last 3 years....thats undeniable, and they were close, comparison wise at some point in 2011/12...either way, he has dropped the ball with his career, imo, I think he doesn't like the fame and the pressure, because he hasn't released even an EP since C.O.

As far as homosexuality and his music, I don't know if dude is really gay, or just bi, I don't think it matters.....I never liked 'Pink Matter', or the one with the more overt references, just from a music standpoint....but 'Bad Religion', 'Thinking About You', 'Sweet Life', 'Pyramids' are all favorites, I look at like even if he is SINGING to a man, I am thinking about a women....same when listening to female r&b or pop, you reverse the sex to suit you.
