Coli might be the most commercial dikkriding nikkas on the internets. Anything that's poo gets dikkridden and anything that's not hot played by Flex is wack, ol Barbie/BeyonceHive ass nikkas. Frank Ocean dropped a classic, he's more a d'angelo than a Ne-yo like these other nikkas. Abel was my main man but he only had a spark when he started and a few select songs since then. Dudes an weaker version of JT now when he was looking like the new kells or new and improved Dream just a few years ago, tryna compete with Sam Smith and Eddy Sheridan now. Miguel is the only dude I would rank above Frank at this point (and obviously D'Angelo as of today). Lol @ CB might as well mention Omi and Nicky Minaj while you're at it.
I always knew NaS haters was fakkit lovers:nawnikka:

He was. but then he voluntarily went ghost. "artists" don't care about 'next', albums sales, etc etc. Their craft is a gift they choose to share. Thats how they see it.

Andre 3,000 and Dave Chapelle are perfect examples of that now a days.

Dave Chappelle constantly tours though.. he just did a show with Chris Tucker this past weekend in San Francisco :obama: I missed it tho :mjcry:

I havnt heard shyt from Frank Ocean for years

:mjlol: About a couple months ago, Complex tried to act like the internet was freaking out about no new Frank Ocean album:
The internet WAS freaking out because there was no album. He said it would drop in july and didn't do it and his fans lost their minds. Even people on this forum were hype
example (theres more) http://www.thecoli.com/threads/watc...dont-cry-official-thread-aoty-nominee.343219/
Then he was like "sorry for the delay please be patient:whoa:" and put up some teaser/promotion on his website but didn't follow through as of yet

This is a flat out lie. Nostalgia ultra was one of the best projects of 2011. And he's a pole smoker by project orange is better then any product weaknd or Miguel put out. None of tkhose dudes can touch his pen game

You've never listened to the Weeknd or Miguel's discography :duck:

Two weeknd and Miguel albums and a Chris Brown resurgence later and no one has mentioned this fukkboy :mjlol:

Frank ocean should be a poet because most of his music falls flat of actually delivering a feeling of music

It's akin to how people praise Lupe's "Murals"... You may think this is actually clever, genius and great but it's devoid of any of the elements that make people listen to music

:mjlol: I never bought in to him no matter how much folks tried to cyse his album from 2012. Dude only started getting buzz when he admitted he was into men.

:scust: I ain't trying to listen to a dude sing about men.

@stomachlines @CrimsonTider @jadillac Y'all fukk with Frank Ocean?

He's overrated in the sense that his music doesn't have any groove or musicality to it.

It's just good concepts.

You can't just throw on some frank ocean or even have it in rotation

Nostalgia and Channel Orange are both better than anything Miguel and Weeknd could ever imagine coming out with.

yea I heard he was finally getting back to stand up as of last year. he's made a cpl guest appearances in LA, but he stays out of the spotlight for the most part. He's keeping it underground.

Who knows, Frank probably does little gigs in Europe (heard he was residing there last year), does the same thing and pops up from time to time doing lounges low pro. Artists like to go back to that 'raw grit'. where its all artistic and not all mainstream, cameras and bullshyt. I cant blame them, fame looks good on the outside, but I can only imagine how it feels not to be able to go anywhere without being bothered, or having a team of 'suits' telling you how to express your craft, its gotta be frustrating. thats why so many people are staying indie these days.

I enjoyed Nostalgia/Ultra and his unreleased collection (The Lonny breaux collection or something I forget the name)

But that channel orange shyt was one of the worst albums I ever heard in my life aside from pyramids.

Now he shook to drop the album cuz the expectations are too high and he know he can't live up to them cuz he's just a dope song writer--he's not a dope ARTIST.

That's what separates him from Abel da Gawd and Miguel.
