Still today, I hate the “Euro Jay” era. He (and Ye) played a huge role in the gentrification of the culture. Hipsters and fake artsy types loved that trash ass album.
But at the same time, this was one of the last times we’ve seen an artist actually market and promote an album. Astroworld is the most “recent” example I can think of that comes close.
