Regardless of what you think about September 11, innocent people of all ages, backgrounds and races died that day. Innocent people. This is not the thread to discuss anything else overlooked by history or to do anything but reflect on that day. There are 364 days in the year to discuss other things, this isn't one of them. Don't disrespect the memory of the innocent people that died that day just to sore cheap points on an internet messageboard.





I'll never forget hearing about it from our teacher and then literally as he put on the television the second plane hit and people started calling about their family in NYC.

The Myth pushed for the longest time is that 3,000 Americans that died which as a whole created a misconceptions of the actual people who died. The sad thing is close to 3,000 people died but many weren't even Americans at all. Btw...World Trade Center had 100's of Foreign Companies in the buildings...including Saudi enterprises.

Yeah because there is never a discussion of slavery...let's turn down the hyperbole, friend.

If you told someone you killed three million Iraqis they'd think you were lying. Not to mention the millions illegally displaced.

Anyways I spent my day downtown today and am there pretty frequently, it makes you really reflect on life and how fortunate I am.

Also got to see some Ospreys and Chinooks flying around. Hadn't seen an Osprey flying vertically in a long time.

With that said. I'll never forget 9/11. I'll never forget slavery. I'll never forget the holocaust.
The first two still effect me to this day. The later I see the side effects of people forgetting.

It's nice to see a lot of young successful black men with model Becky's on their arms.
Really instills a sense of pride. I went out to dinner recently and every brother in there including myself had a Nordic goddess.

being from ny, seeing the towers their last week of life and Ground Zero the following winter, hearing juelz part for the first time sent a chill through me. dips helped enshrine the legend with those songs.
