to be honest I was always surprised that he and the lakers parted ways

dude wanted more money and they figured they can get the same from Metta for 1-2 years. It ended up being nice for that game 7 but overall Ariza would have been nice. It was a struggle to see Metta miss those 3s all the time

Jordan demanded a level of play from his teammates, he routinely made mediocre players appear epic. Why can I readily name players like Steve Kerr, Jud bushler, John Paxson, That nikka Randy, Ron harper to a lesser extent, luc longly, Bill Wennington, I could go on and on. What I'm trying to convey is players who did nothing before and after Jordan are etched in our memories forever. Ariza on that same team would have appeared to be a much better ALL-TIME player than he is, just like all the players I just named, and just like Pippen

Pippen was an excellent player, deserves all the respect for what he accomplished with jordan. But if he didn't play in Chicago, we wouldn't be talking about Pippen today (Tru Story)
