Just finished this off. Honestly, I'm going to miss this boring ass show, but I love New Orleans(one of my favs to visit) and IMO if you are out of touch with the culture there then this show wasn't for you. I was bored out of my mind watching every episode of this series but I thoroughly enjoyed it. This last season was sort of depressing, not a lot of wins handed out but that is normally how it goes for the people in New Orleans. Going to have to plan a trip to New Orleans some point this year. NBA All Star, Mardi Gras, Essence weekend, I want to get to at least 2 out of 3 of those events.

I liked the show, I wasn't bored. With the Corner you had Baltimore and Drugs, with The Wire you had Baltimore and Crime, and with Treme you have New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina. This show really did a good job of telling the story of New Orleans and Katrina. I loved how he let nothing get lost in the background, he highlighted the bogus police man, he highlighted the carefree residents and visitors, and he highlighted the focused and determined loyalist, The characters all fell in place perfect even though some of the musicians were annoying.
