Man them dudes will be straight. Either they don’t make no noise in industry, or this is the thing that puts them on the map and they leverage them momentum into some type of career. It’s probably the former. But unauthorized use of a Mariah Carey song not about to destroy they life or career. It does not work like that
You maybe right. Time will tell

I’m pretty sure they can do whatever they want as long as they don’t monetize it. I don’t mind Mariah not wanting her name associated with such foolishness though. But I don’t think it’s much she can do to stop them as long as the not selling it or making money from it.

The people in here acting outraged about this...Why? This is hip hop. It’s creative and it’s a remix. How ignorant it is is irrelevant. It’s the same type of ignorance that has been and is already out there, except over a classic pop song. The fake outrage over that is laughable. We supposed to hate on silly little shyt on the coli, not be outraged at everything like an old lady. Y’all doing it way wrong smh. You supposed to be outraged about the the demonic nature of the music in general. If that’s the case, then that’s fine. But if the straw that broke Jay Z back was transferring those lyrics to pop songs, then you got what we call fake outrage.
There is no DJing or rapping, stop calling that bullshyt Hip-Hop.

I called it hip hop so it’s hip hop. I don’t get into to the semantics of rap/hip hop, I use them interchangeably. You can call it what you like
That's part of the reason Hip-Hop is fukked up. Call that and these little fiends auto crooning something else.

Yeah it all evolved from hip hop but I can’t be mad at someone saying don’t call this shyt hip hop lol. I’m not even trying to defend this shyt I swear. Not the specific song, but just the concept of flipping a pop song or any song. Even if it’s on some silly or ignorant shyt. This shyt started with sampling and unapologetically taking others peoples shyt and doing whatever you wanna do with it. Even a lot of great hip hop producers and groups done had the shyt sued or of them for taking shyt with disregard back in the day. So I’m just saying the brazenness and element of sampling what you want and flipping it how you want is hip hop. But of course the content, message, and long term effect of the music on the community is not to be celebrated

It's not even that complicated. No Hip-Hop elements = not Hip-Hop.
