I've been all around the country. From what I have seen it's Cowboys and Steelers.:yeshrug:

Being a Cowboys fan that was born and raised in Dallas. I take great pride when seeing all the Cowboys fans from coast to coast. :obama:

i dont think you know the history of the 12th man. they stole that from texas a&m.

seattle's stadium acoustics has more to do with atmosphere than the actual fans. same thing goes with okc in the nba.

I know the history, just didn't feel the need to reference A&M since we're talking NFL :yeshrug:

I don't understand any talk of cowboys fans being bandwagoners:mindblown: Since the 90's,they haven't done anything in the playoffs, yet they still rep for the 'boys. Even after my all-time favorite player Emmitt Smith left,I still root for them from Ohio:heh:

So far I've seen Falcons, Bucs and Saints? :russ:

Do yall nikkas know what a fan base is?

The Bucs fanbase in real life is terrible. They haven't sold out a game in years so they shouldn't be included in a national or Coli top fanbase list. But you're wrong about us & the Saints

Falcons fanbase is solid. We've sold out every game since 08.

I hate the Saints, but they have the best fanbase in the South & one of the best in the NFL. fukk is you talking about?

Every Atlanta team has a weak fan base. Especially compared to the rest of the NFL. Garbage teams like the Browns and Bills have much more loyal fan bases. This doesn't mean the Falcons' doesn't exist. But it certainly can't compare to the elite fan bases that have been around for DECADES.

You talmbout "since 2008"? :russ:

nikka I'm talmbout since the 60's.

:aicmon: Braves & Falcons don't have weak fanbases. Stop generalizing off of outdated stereotypes

Falcons ranked #11 in attendance last season, ahead of Pittsburgh, Philly, NE, SF and Buffalo & Cleveland

http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2012

Sidebar: What do those top fanbases usually have in common? Most have been around for a long time & are in cities where that fanbase is established. Its much more different in cities with small metro populations and a high influx of out of towners who move into the greater metropolitan part of that cities population (ie. Atlanta)

Next time you do a thread do you research. Some of the teams you mentioned their fans dont even give a fukk anymore. Women lie, men lie And numbers don't. There's a reason why the Pats are worth almost 2 billion and its no coincidence.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2012/sort/allPct

damn chicago is #2 yet they have the 2nd smallest home field in the league :win:

not seeing them mentioned anywhere in this thread tho aside from op :mjpls:

:leon: Thank you for explaining WHY the Falcons fan base isn't elite. You saved me the trouble. :heh:

:leon: Thank you for explaining WHY the Falcons fan base isn't elite. You saved me the trouble. :heh:

:what:

You basically said Buffalo & Cleveland have elite fanbases. Fanbases so elite that Cleveland's team moved to Baltimore & Buffalo plays a home game to Toronto every year. You realize we consistently have better attendance than both of them. But that's the "elite" standard Atlanta is up against? :heh:

You sound crazy

You're basing this solely on attendance which is why you're on the losing side of the argument.

Did you know that when the Browns originally left Cleveland they already had a return scheduled? They left because they needed a new stadium and Tagliabue wanted a chise in Baltimore so Modell did him a solid.

And did you know the Browns' fan base was strong as ever even without a team? :heh:

Do you realize the Bills play a game a year in Toronto because their fan base stretches all the way to Canada? How is that a bad thing? :heh:

And that's just touching on the weak points you made, let alone the fact that these 2 fan bases have been around since before the merger.

What you're doing is basically comparing the Heat to the Lakers. Yes the Heat just won back to back but no way is Heat Nation fukking with LWO in terms of a fan base and overall franchise prestige.

Just stop, breh. You sound ridiculous and dont even know it. The Falcons? :russ:

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
I dont think people are comprehending the notion of a 'fanbase'...:snoop:

For example- if you travel for business outside your teams local area, will you see a strong presence of your squad's fans or bars specifically to your team?

Since I moved to NYC, I can tell you that there are as many diehard Steeler bar's than there are Jets bars (halfway serious). Bears and Cowboys also have a deep presence.

Are you telling me that if you went to, say Detroit, you're going to find a large amount of Falcon fans? Or if you're in Denver, you'll see a huge contingency of Seahawk fans?:patrice:

Just because your team is good right now, or has a lot promise, does not suddenly make your fanbase that much more prevalent. It just makes them seem a little more louder...

Lets go back to your original post that I quoted: you laughed at the Bucs, Saints & Falcons being mentioned in this thread about top fanbases. Apparently some of us don't know what a fanbase is. Well enlighten us. What is a fanbase?
