1/2 hr at least now. I tried doing that "get up and start working" thing but I was pretty worthless. I need more wind-up time.

I start 9 am.

Wake up at 5 am and finish the whole days work before the day actually starts.
Use the hours at work to learn automation coding
Been doing this for some months now.

Go sleep between 12 to 2pm
Eat at the desk for the rest of the day :wow:

Could be 5 mins, could be an hour or 2 depending on the day. Wake up, check emails and alerts to make sure nothing is broken or needs attention. Go back to sleep till stand up or first meeting if i don't have anything else going on that day.

Are all of these IT positions?
Mine is. I will at least turn my laptop on and make sure i am reachable by 9 after waking up around 8. I spend the time getting somewhat presentable since there has been an increase of video calls, but then my workload and meeting schedule determines what i do next.

My ex gf had two remote IT jobs at the same damn time. Granted I had one job and we still made the same amount, she still did less work than me.

I had a day off and I swear all day only thing she did was answer 5 phone calls and answered some emails. I’m like this is what you do all day when I’m working a 12 hour shift w/ a 1 hour commute? I need some certs :wow::mjcry:

One morning on my day off I said “aren’t you going to goto work??

She said “oh yeah!” Rolls over logs into her laptop and goes back to sleep. I’m just sitting there like :gucci:

I do the same, will get my laptop started and then just play games or web browse on my pc before meetings and when i need to get things done. Sometimes i will bring my laptop to my bedroom for long ass meetings in the morning and lay down while it goes on, only responding when i need to.

It is also great being able to get shopping and other things done in the day, because if need to attend a meeting or view something i can do it from my phone with Teams and Outlook.

It ranges anywhere from on time to 45 mins after depending on how I slept:yeshrug:

My managers likes to sneak in early emergency meetings tho so I have to be careful.
