I wanted to move to Reno years ago. I was living in a bad situation and wanted to escape to cheap housing costs, beautiful nature. and Lake Tahoe. It never panned out, but I might visit someday.

RIP Reno.

Data centers are only drains on where they are placed. They do not bring a ton of jobs, horrible for environments, and shoot up utility prices.

On average they may bring a 100-300 jobs post construction. Some even less. Some don’t even keep employees on site outside of security. Yet they use up a shyt ton of energy and water.

My city just ran Amazon out of town trying to build that shyt here. :blessed:

No chance 300 people and majority of who do get full time jobs are low level security, cleaners, operation positions. The high level people work in a different state or country and remotely manage . So they aren't doing shyt for the local community.
