:ohhh: So I was wondering waht happened to Renzel Remixes disc 1, I thought it was just buried under other releases or shuffled around. What happened is a curious complaint by Jeremy Banks that reads the following when you try to click on the link:

"

Who the hell is Jeremy Banks? Apparently he's a pretty powerful individual regarding the internet & music industry.

Anyone else run into this person? Apparently a lot of people on the web have crossed paths and faced his wrath of take downs on their web sites with this organization IFPI.. Anyone want to guess what song made them take down the whole disc? Could they do this because of "In the Club remix" :francis:

Here's a little background on IFPI, you can mute the audio and just read the text while watching the video. Some people may object to the music. :yeshrug:

nikkas been free styling over other beats since the 80's that's crazy.

The tape still on other sites tho, it's not just on dat Piff exclusively

It's been condensed down to one disc on Livemixtapes. It's gone from DatPiff. Ross is playing with fire. He had album cuts from Teflon Don on his mixtape, along with Public Enemy records, Master P records, a Tupac instrumental, and Cashmoney Records' Number 1 Stunna instrumental... (In Da Club is also featured)

and the mixtape is/was free....

Not sure what has Will so mad at the music industry these days

but uh yeah.. he is making himself an easy target

They do have it on there, the datpiff must be the one that is watched heavily. :wow:

Datpiff has been cracking down the last two years. They use to have mixtapes with album cuts/singles and they've taken 60-70% of those jawns down

These days NO MUSIC POSTED online is considered PROMO or FREE...

simply cause you can monitize streams I.e (YouTube...Sites with ads)

So the old days of being able to rhyme or sing over somebody's beat without clearance cause you thought it was LEGAL as long as u didn't slap a barcode on it and sold it is DEAD.....

And what's sad is JEREMY BANKS and his organization IFPI are not doing this for the interests of the artists..and the songwriters (publishers)

It's for the MUSIC LABELS!!!

IFPI is the voice of the recording industry worldwide. We represent the interests of 1,300 record companies from across the globe.

:camby:they are like NATO of the music industry ..RIAA ain't got shyt on them

They came after my black Azz...last year after I uploaded a track from my artist to YouTube

They had GOOGLE send me a nasty letter while they took it down
