These days NO MUSIC POSTED online is considered PROMO or FREE...

simply cause you can monitize streams I.e (YouTube...Sites with ads)

So the old days of being able to rhyme or sing over somebody's beat without clearance cause you thought it was LEGAL as long as u didn't slap a barcode on it and sold it is DEAD.....

And what's sad is JEREMY BANKS and his organization IFPI are not doing this for the interests of the artists..and the songwriters (publishers)

It's for the MUSIC LABELS!!!

IFPI is the voice of the recording industry worldwide. We represent the interests of 1,300 record companies from across the globe.

:camby:they are like NATO of the music industry ..RIAA ain't got shyt on them

They came after my black Azz...last year after I uploaded a track from my artist to YouTube

They had GOOGLE send me a nasty letter while they took it down

I see where u going with this

And I :salute: u

The RIAA and IFPI are very SELECTIVE about who they come after

So what's good with Officer Ricky? Which higher up did he piss off? He was mainstream Hip Hop's trap darling from 10-13

I'm no fan of his but he has been one of the most vocal in regards of the treatment Blacks have been facing by police department for years. Even the game he was giving out in regards of publishing on Foreclosures was out of the element but the information was insightful. When he was pumping out the fantasy coke tales over live Good fellas instrumentals, They loved it but use your voice to actually uplift and you start noticing your budget being cut and strange occurrences out of the ordinary.

Best believe if Rozzay was hot like he was in 2010-11, This whole Kidnapping sh*t would have been thrown in the bushes

He always had "Pro Blk" gems in his music dating back to his first release. I've noticed his transition and new focus on these topics but still I'd like to know. He also turned on Drake at the 12th hour which I thought was odd.

Even the shots @ Birdman seemed odd and a little forced. Ross could've easily called Bird if had a problem but he took it to radio one/clear channel's biggest urban station?

Sounds like Ross got kicked out of the house. @The HONORABLE SKJ come back in here and spill the industry tea

The sh*t is very odd. Its totally out of Ross's character to just go out and attack like he did on Stunna. Def Jam didn't even give him a push and he's one of their profitable artists

Yup!

nikka went from "that artist" to a tax write off in 24 months and their new roster is lighter and brighter (literally) Going to be interesting to see how they promote Nas, Kanye, and Fab's projects next year.

Hood Billionaire & Black Market.... Tax Write offs

Now Foreclosures sounds more like frustrations instead of shots @ 50

Oh yeah,

So it should be stated clearly now

Trap star's have been put on notice

Jeezy & Ross caught a brick and Yo Gotti can't get a release date. Gucci is rotting in prison and Migos caught a vicious brick. Hip Hop may be turning the page on that sub genre. The new (younger) southern generation of MCs don't even identify with that sound. Future is keeping the lights on now and something tells me that won't last long.

:childplease: stop using peoples music for free then. Probably was in the club seeming how Interscope will be making money off that track forever. He had some Jazz rips on there that I knew was going to be issues. Jazz musicians don't fukk around with their art or their money

This. These cats take this "promo only" shyt wayyyyyyyyyyy too far knowing damn well these mixtapes are 99.9% new/original music. And they think that putting it out as a tape excuses them. The label doesn't give a shyt until the suits have an issue with it and most of the time these tapes fly under the radar. But I'd be damned if my music was being chopped up for a damn mixtape. shyt Prince doesn't even let established artists use his stuff even if they attempt to clear it

"NO DEF JAM ..TAKE MY WORD"

IFPI does represents the interests of Def Jam

Just speculating :manny:

Chill out breh

Ross has Birdman's mobile phone number. He has a business relationship with Bird and if there was some bad business that needed to be discussed he could've called him. Your man jumped on the biggest hip hop show (syndicated show) and sent shots. Mind you the album dropped the next day :mjlol:

Not hard to process what that was about
