Yes, democrats do shyt I disagree with all the time (re: youth trans issues, illegal immigrants, etc)...but we all make compromises and negotiations for better policies overall.
Dems are fixing the economy, repairing usa global standing, and advancing civil rights. Thats good enough for me. We need better court picks and things are improving on that front, but it's not a static, permanent fight. It requires constant engagement....
and this is why I'm so critical of reparations discourse. Its a political anchor around reactionary voters in black circles who think it has any chance of happening and damn anyone even challenging it either on the grounds they dont think it should be done OR for underestimating white backlash to it. We all know the backlash would be severe because we can't be burdened with the reality that most of the people adamant for it aren't capable of actually self sustaining themselves or capable of leading any other movement so we attach ourselves to a cause that is just and morally legitimate but secretly functionally impossible to ever be carried out satisfactorily.

Now what. It's not gonna happen. And frankly, I think most reparations advocates know this, and thats what keeps the grift going.
We have more pressing issues we can get addressed by laws AND done in a way that doesn't have to be explicit to rile up reactionary forces like this.
Look man, I've seen a lot of shyt happen under the guise of sneaky policy and it's time for reparations activists to learn how to get THIS part of the game done. If the stakes are truly this high, they'll learn how to actually cross the finish line.
