All the slaves are dead, from them millions have been born. The info I looked up says there are 41.7 million African Americans. If the government were to set aside 100 billion dollars for that many, that would equal a check of $2398 for each of us. so at this point are we just wanting reparations for the principle or do we want it for the money? That is about 1/3 of a month for me and I will take it gladly, but it would not make up for shyt to me as far as slavery.

Its about both....why not move it to a trillion or so.
After all the bail out a couple of rich guys to the official tune of 700 billion with some estimates putting the true cost at 12 to 13 trillion
The US has given Israel officially over 83 billion so far and the War in Iraq has so far cost the US about 2 trillion official

I am Not looking so much for the cash as that the money be use to found and fund organization and institutions to held develop black communities world wide and to provide education and skills training for black individuals globally, access to gainful employment etc

No. That number is ludicrous and you're not taking into account all the Nations involved: Holland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, etc.

ALL those Nations and Multi-National Corporations need to dig in their pockets and come up off that guap.

The number that is actually more accurate is $14 TRILLION.

Doing napkin math, that works out to $33k/ea. descendant and that's without adding 'Late Payment Fees'.

Realistically black people aren't going to get their money. Ask the Native americans about broken promises, they'll tell you. BUT you can do other things,like fight for FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION. Personally that's where i'd be leveraging my moves. You're not getting a cash payout, and honestly you don't want one, or at least I wouldn't. Use the 1/16th blood rule for free education. Either that or no taxes...but be careful a large portion are already getting refunds back, meaning they ain't paying taxes anyway. Again, were it me, I'd shoot for free college tuition, forever. ...unless they socialize secondary education anyway...which they'd likely do.

honestly this is probably the best way to go.
It'll help in more ways than just a quick payout that would get squandered real quick.

Education is key...a free education makes it so no one has an excuse NOT to go then.

Its not just slavery. USA also owes reparations from the jim crow era. That wasnt long ago and many of our great grandparents that went through that are still alive. And with regards to slavery reparations many other countries would also be required to pay as well so USA wouldnt shoulder all responsibility. The money is not an issue as most of it would end back in the economy somehow.

I'd be fine if the folks who lived in that era got broke off some bread. a lot of those people are still alive.
