almost half the threads at some point some poster brings up reparations, it isn't going to happen and thats te truth, so why talk about it?
what about bringing jobs back? why not press the government about that?

Highly unlikely, and pretty much impossible. IMO those directly involved after slavery and those directly involved in Jim Crow segregation have a legal argument.

Pretty much how I feel about it. Still, I'd like to see the conversation on reparations/apologies over slavery turn into conversations on segregation, white flight, gentrification, systemic racism, etc., and how the generation that perpetuated that are still alive and haven't been held accountable. The same people who say, "I wasn't around during slavery" or, "I never owned any slaves", get real uncomfortable when you talk about sh!t that either they or their parents, grandparents were actively involved in or turned a blind eye to. What's the use though.......there was no real justice in South Africa, can't expect anything different here.

And this is in excess of what our tax dollars already pay to the tribes. So sorry, i'll keep chirping about what they owe black people until i can pull up a link that reads US PAYS BLACKS REPARATIONS.
lol. read my above post. so how on earth are the ancestors of the tribes/native americans they killed and harmed/stole land from, getting paid in 2016? how is that possible if what you keep saying about reparations for black folks other than the exact people they hurt on the spot in those times. how is it possible that the natives of today can get benefits from what was done to their ancestors of yesterday?
