Bortles is 26 and has 79 TDs to 47 INTs, as well as about 350 yards rushing a year over his last 3 seasons

He's not elite by any stretch but questioning how he's in the league is ridiculous

DUDE...

bortles got those stats IN GARBAGE TIME!!!

i used to live in jax. Jags would be down by 30 pts and teams quit and let this idiot score.

This is why they coach got fired cuz jags was terrible because of Blake Damn Bortles

Everywhere...You never there.
If it ain't obvious by now. When you're past 25 in the league, you are expendable. If you're asking for your share of the money, you are expendable. If you're seen as causing trouble you're expendable. If you're seen as an irritation to white folks, you are expendable. If you're not a bonefide moneymaker and star, you are expendable. If you fit any of the criteria above, YOU ARE EXPENDABLE.

So Dez receives a contract offer from the Browns and Ravens but doesnt sign with them.

I think he has a specific squad in mind that he is waiting for a call from.

The question is does that squad want him?:francis:

Dont know if this is a wise strategy:patrice:

I don't think so....or else they would've brought him in already.
:yeshrug:

Not having the time to learn a new system in camp doesn't benefit him or the team, so if they really wanted him, I don't see why they would wait, IMO.

Even so. Blake Bortles is young, plays on a cheap contract, has improved particularly last season and has an offensive coordinator and QB's coach intent on developing him. I know the coli hates Blake Bortles but he's not nearly as bad as some of you make him out to be.

I mean we know two teams he could have signed with by now and he chose not to.

Right now, if he signs with a team, his money is partially guaranteed but if he signs after the last August cuts this sunday, his money is not guaranteed and he could be cut with no cap consequences.

In the right situation where they dont need him now to be the primary receiver right away, he can learn a new offensive playbook for like four weeks and contribute later in the year. Jay Ajayi got traded midseason last year and was up to speed on the offensive scheme within three weeks.

He is definitely waiting on some teams, i just wonder who they are.

I am certain its not the Pats. Im thinking an NFC east team, maybe the giants or redskins.

I hear you but that’s apples and oranges.

Jay is a RB. It’s much easier to ease an RB into a new system. shyt if you take him out of passing downs a new RB can probably play on his first week there.

WR is a completely different beast. It takes a while to get on the same page as the QB and develop timing. Ochocino can tell you how hard it is to learn a new offense from scratch as a WR with diminishing skills.

Dez is being fukked by his pride.

Nothing good comes from not being signed this far in the season.

It’s sad when athletes can’t accept certain new realities.

Should have signed the Ravens deal.
